青岛经济技术开发区是国务院1984年10月批准设立的中国首批国家级经济技术开发区之一，1985年3月28日动工兴建，是享有沿海经济技术开发区优惠政策的经济区域。青岛开发区位于胶州西海岸，与青岛老市区隔海相望，海上最近距离2.26海里。1992年,青岛开发区与同处一地的青岛市黄岛区体制全一,现有面积220平方公里,人口23万。按照总体规划，青岛开发区分为重化工业区、临港工业区、国际贸易区、“菜篮子”工程区、旅游度假区和行政商务中心区六大功能区。

Qingdao Economic& Technical Development Zone
Qingdao Economic & Technical Development zone is one of the first Economic&Technical Development Zone of China which was ratified by the State Council in October 1984.It was set up in March 28,1985 and it was the main heavy industry base of Qingdao, belong to the same place with Huangdao District. It has an area of 220square kilometers which is divided into Heavy Industry District, Por-close Industry District, International Trade district, Shopping supply programmed District, Tourist vacation District, Administration & Commercial central and so on six function district.
